Pediatric Clinical Neonatologist (Level III & IV NICU) - Physician - Kravis Children's Hospital - Manhattan, NY

DescriptionWe are seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Neonatologist to join our academic division in a providing care in both our Level III and Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs). This position combines high-acuity clinical care with opportunities for teaching, mentorship, and participation in academic initiatives. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. The primary clinical responsibility will be in the 46-bed, Level IV NICU at Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital, which supports one of the busiest obstetric and maternal-fetal medicine programs in Manhattan, with over 8,000 deliveries annually. Additional clinical opportunities are available in the Level III non-surgical NICU at Mount Sinai West and in the NICU Developmental Follow-Up Clinic.ResponsibilitiesProvide clinical care coverage for Level III and Level IV NICUs including overnight callManage critically ill neonates, including extremely preterm infants and those requiring advanced life-sustaining therapies Attend and lead high-risk deliveries, including complex maternal-fetal cases Perform neonatal resuscitation and oversee stabilization of critically ill newborns Direct management of advanced respiratory support, including conventional and high-frequency ventilation Manage complex neonatal conditions requiring: Therapeutic hypothermia Inhaled nitric oxide Advanced hemodynamic monitoring Perform and supervise procedures (e.g., intubation, UAC/UVC placement, chest tubes) Supervise and teach residents, fellows, APPs Provide real-time bedside teaching and overnight clinical mentorship Ensure high-quality documentation and structured handoffs to daytime teams Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists including surgery, cardiology, neurology, and genetics QualificationsMD or DO from an accredited institution Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Completion of an ACGME-accredited Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship Eligible for academic appointment at the Assistant/Associate Professor level (rank commensurate with experience) to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount SinaiActive (or eligible for) New York State medical license Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification Compensation and BenefitsCompetitive academic salary Faculty appointment with associated academic benefits Comprehensive benefits package, including retirement plans and CME support Malpractice coverage Compensation range from 225k to 350k (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits).Salary Disclosure Information:Mount Sinai Health System provides a salary range to comply with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.
