Sr. Financial Manager, Auxiliary ServicesWe are seeking a Sr. Financial Manager, Auxiliary Services who will be responsible for fiscal management of functions that support Homewood Auxiliary Services operations. In addition to managing financial activities involving a variety of account types and overseeing the development and management of budgets, the position also has responsibility for financial modeling, financial analysis, and financial planning.Auxiliary Services operations include dining, housing, residential life, conferences/events, retail leased spaces, and other related student and campus support operations. The role is responsible for aligning financial planning and analysis with operational needs, service delivery goals, and long-term strategic planning for auxiliary services.Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage funds from various sources, whose total revenues exceeding $70 million dollars.Oversee the development of all budgets for assigned areas.Responsible for monitoring and overall analysis of budget patterns, expenditures, and revenue.Provide management for the overall department/division financial systems. Develop, implement, and oversee the continued improvement of financial systems and processes.Develop complex financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.Develop management, narrative, and statistical reports.Lead the process of strategic financial planning with senior management.Formulate and document overall planning for projects, new services, and initiatives that incorporate growth, viability, profitability, and foster the continued advancement of the area's mission.Develop detailed business plans for new and existing programs to include market demand assessment, capital needs, facilities, strengths and weaknesses, operational requirements, and implementation plans.Collaborate with appropriate internal and external administrative offices to ensure that required policies and procedures are followed.Provide direct supervision to unit staff and/or oversight for finance staff across the designated area.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExperience working on a complex budget.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.Five years of progressively responsible related financial management experience, e.g., planning, monitoring, or controlling the monetary resources of a department, center, or comparable business unit.Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.Preferred QualificationsMaster's Degree in a related field.Experience managing finances in a high-volume auxiliary services environment.Experience with dining, housing, conferences/events, retail operations, or other campus auxiliary functions.Classified Title: Sr. Financial ManagerJob Posting Title (Working Title): Sr. Financial Manager, Auxiliary Services (University Student Services Finance)Role/Level/Range: ATP/04/PFStarting Salary Range: $87,635 - $153,545 Annually (Commensurate w/exp.)Employee group: Full TimeSchedule: Mon - Fri / 08:30am - 05:00pmFLSA Status: ExemptLocation: Hybrid/Homewood CampusDepartment name: Student Services FinancePersonnel area: University Student Services
