Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable payment terms. Prepare and issue purchase orders accurately and efficiently. Monitor order status and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier information, and inventory levels. Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., production, logistics) to understand their needs and ensure timely fulfillment. Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to purchase orders, deliveries, or invoicing. Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures. Stay informed about market trends and identify opportunities for process improvement. Requirements A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role. Demonstrated negotiation and vendor management skills. Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain principles. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with ERP systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with the local market in the Paarl area is a plus.
