Job Title: Locum - Physician - Pathology Robbinsdale, MN


Job Description:

North Memorial Hospital-Robbinsdale Hospital is seeking a qualified Pathologist to join their team on a temporary basis. This position is open due to resignation, with coverage starting on August 10, 2026, until a permanent candidate is hired and starts. The credentialing process takes approximately 90 days to complete.


Practice Setting: Hospital-Based Pathology Lab
Schedule: Day shift, hours between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm depending on rotation
Call Schedule: Every 7 days
Call Ratio: 1:7

• Cases Read Per Day: 80 to 100
• Clinical Lab Responsibilities: Blood bank call at night
• Specimen Grossing: Not responsible
• Frozen Section Cutting: Not responsible
• Number of Group Physicians: 6
• Histotechnologists: 5
• Pathology Assistants: 1
• Cytotechnologists: 1
• Supervision Responsibilities: No
• Other Pathologists Present: Yes

Equipment Available:

• Cryostat: Leica
• Microscope: Olympus BX40
• EMR System: Epic

Required Procedures:

• Anatomic Pathology: Surgical, GI, GU, Neuropathology, Dermatopathology, Hematopathology (Bone Marrow, Lymph Nodes), Bone Marrow Aspirate/biopsy, Cytology
• Clinical Pathology: Hematology, Microbiology, Chemistry/Serology, Blood Bank
• Additional: Rapid evaluation of image-guided biopsy adequacy
