Job Details Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Full-time position Practice independently and demonstrate awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations Provide routine and complex nursing care with the ability to focus on long-range goals and plans Utilize the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols and monitor for side effects and effectiveness Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers to help manage clinical situations Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), PALS (AHA only), TNCC RN License in state of TX or compact license required Facility This facility is a well-established hospital offering comprehensive emergency department services to the surrounding community.
