Position Summary At All American Modern Sports Grill, our servers play a vital role in delivering an unforgettable guest experience. You are so much more than an ‘order taker’; whether it’s a lively game night or a casual family dinner, you are responsible for providing fast, friendly, and knowledgeable service in a high-energy sports bar environment. You are the face of our brand and should be passionate about customer service, have strong interpersonal skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Upon training, you will be able to guide guests through our menu, upsell signature cocktails and specials, and ensure every guest feels welcome, satisfied, and taken care of. Key Responsibilities Guest Service Provide prompt table service to guests Manage transactions accurately through our point-of-sale system Answer inquiries and provide recommendations on current menu items Retain ‘learned’ material and promote signature products Handle complaints professionally with support from management when necessary Product Knowledge Maintain a working knowledge of current food and beverage menus Ability to suggest and upsell (appetizers, dessert, sides) Promote specials, events, and in-house promotions confidently and accurately Must possess the ability to work well with others Communicate clearly with kitchen, bartenders, and support to ensure smooth service Help run food or drinks for other team members when needed Assist the team in resetting tables, pre-bussing, and cleanliness of our restaurant Cleanliness & Compliance Maintain a clean and organized service station and dining area Follow all safety and sanitation protocols, including food handling Adhere to alcohol service laws and responsible service practices Qualifications Minimum age requirement: 18 or 21 years old, depending on local alcohol laws Previous serving experience in a fast-paced restaurant or bar required. Ability to understand and communicate various dietary restrictions of guests. Desire to learn about the world of whiskey and wine. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask. Basic math skills; ability to handle money accurately. Familiarity with POS systems (e.g., Toast, Aloha, Focus) is a plus Availability to work weekends, holidays, mornings or evenings as required Skills & Attributes Customer-Focused: Enjoys interacting with people and creating experiences Energetic & Friendly: Brings high energy and personality to every shift Detail-Oriented: Ensures order accuracy and checks in frequently with guests Multitasking: Manage multiple tables, tasks, and guest requests with ease Team Player: Willing to support coworkers and jump in wherever needed Professional: Ability to remain calm under stressful situations Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and be on your feet for extended periods (6+ hours) Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds (trays, drinks, bus tubs, etc) Must be able to bend, reach, and move quickly in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working in loud, crowded conditions during peak service hours High-volume sports bar with restaurant dining and bar seating. Energetic and loud, especially during televised games, events, or weekends Fast-paced shifts with periods of intense activity (pre-game rushes, halftime, etc) Low-light conditions and varying temperatures With experience and demonstrated reliability, high-performing servers may be considered for lead server, trainer, bartender, or floor supervisor roles.
