Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Days (3x12, 7:00–19:00) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a PCU/Stepdown setting within a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center environment
• Titrate and manage cardiac drips — this is a hard-stop requirement for this role
• Maintain expected patient ratios of 1:3–4
• Float to Telemetry or Medical/Surgical floors when the unit is overstaffed, as travelers are first to float
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day (candidates may select either Thanksgiving or Christmas, but not both)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license — compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of PCU/Stepdown experience required
• Demonstrated experience titrating and managing cardiac drips
• Must commit to all RTO and scheduling requests being submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted
• Two professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start (Charge RNs/Leads accepted)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals may be considered at an adjusted rate)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a teaching hospital or high-acuity trauma center environment
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
• Experience floating between Telemetry and Medical/Surgical units
