Account Specialist, Spacisity & Movement Disorder - Bethesda/Rockville, MD

AbbVie seeks an Account Specialist to promote specialty pharmaceutical products across community practices and health systems in the Bethesda/Rockville area. The role involves developing customer relationships, identifying clinical and operational needs, and delivering product training to healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
- Promote products to achieve or exceed sales goals in community practices, private practices, and hospital health systems
- Identify customer needs in training, clinical operations, and reimbursement; connect accounts with appropriate company resources
- Provide clinical and injection technique training to residents, fellows, and key hospital personnel
- Deliver expert anatomical and procedural education while highlighting injection considerations and anatomical insights
- Collaborate with other specialists to execute resident and fellow training programs within hospital systems
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business; or five years technical experience with three years sales experience and high school diploma
- Experience with Buy & Bill and/or Specialty Pharmacy products in health systems and private practice preferred
- Ability to lift and move 25–100 lb training models and meet hospital credentialing requirements
- Valid driver's license, pass pre-employment drug screening, and meet safe driving standards
- Documented strong sales performance in clinical or consultative sales with multiple decision makers
- Ability to learn and communicate complex procedural, technical, and anatomical information to diverse audiences
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing for assigned territory
