The Carriages of Bloomington is growing our team and we are looking for exceptional individuals to fill our PRN Dayshift RN/LPN position (7a-7p/6a-6p). The primary purpose of this position is to provide high-quality, holistic nursing care in accordance with nursing practice of professional nursing. You will lead licensed and non-professional staff in the delivery of direct resident care and support functions. Working with Memory Care is a must.

Responsibilities

• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications, etc.
• Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing, etc.
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, etc.
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
• Communicate with patients' family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as licensed nurse.
• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with assisted living procedures.
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices.
• Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology.
• Knowledge of Point Click Care.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and able to handle stress.
