About the Role

A leading building materials manufacturing and distribution company is seeking an experienced, hands-on Operations Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse logistics and production activities at our Lakewood facility. This is a non-exempt, hourly frontline leadership position responsible for maintaining high safety standards, optimizing material workflow, and driving inventory accuracy on the floor.

The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day logistics operations under minimal oversight while working closely alongside the warehouse and production crews.

Key Responsibilities

• Personnel Management: Supervise, coach, and organize daily schedules for the floor crew, including managing overtime, shifts, and team training protocols.
• Floor Logistics & Machinery Oversight: Monitor day-to-day warehousing, shipping, receiving, and roll-forming/fabrication production processes to maintain throughput and meet delivery schedules.
• Inventory Control & Data Discipline: Maintain material traceability and inventory tracking accuracy using internal systems (ERP/MRP); coordinate regular cycle counts and stock audits.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all team members adhere strictly to local, state, and federal safety regulations (OSHA), keeping the facility free of time-loss incidents.
• Process Optimization: Implement and sustain structured organizational practices (such as 5S/6S and standard operating procedures) to streamline floor workflow and reduce process cycle times.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working in an operations, logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing environment (building materials or metal fabrication experience is highly valued).
• Leadership: Proven track record in a supervisory, lead, or management capacity with direct reports on an industrial floor.
• Equipment Proficiency: Comfortable working within a heavy machinery environment. Experience or certification with diverse material handling equipment (such as sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks, or side loaders) is a strong plus.
• Technical Skills: Practical proficiency with standard inventory tracking software, asset management systems, or ERP frameworks, alongside standard office tracking tools.
• Physical Demands: Ability to navigate a warehouse and production floor actively for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Compensation & Structure

• Pay Rate: $31.00 – $36.00 per hour (Dependent on experience)
• Type: Full-time, Hourly Non-Exempt (Overtime eligible)
