Dental Assistant – Contract

Location: Jamaica, NY
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Pay Rate: $22–$30/Hour (Based on Experience)

Job Summary

Seeking a Dental Assistant to support dental professionals with patient care, treatment preparation, and clinical procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience with dental radiography, instrument sterilization, and dental material preparation.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for dental examinations and treatments.
Assist dentists chairside during procedures.
Take and develop dental X-rays/radiographs.
Sterilize dental instruments and maintain equipment.
Mix dental materials, including amalgams, cements, and composites.
Maintain accurate patient records.
Perform assigned dental laboratory procedures.
Ensure proper equipment maintenance and infection control.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Completion of an approved Dental Assistant training program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with dental radiography, patient preparation, instrument sterilization, and mixing dental materials .
Knowledge of record maintenance and dental laboratory procedures.
Strong communication skills in English.
