CNC Machinist

About the Role You will set up, operate, and maintain CNC machining equipment to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, or related equipment to machine parts to specified tolerances. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to determine machining sequences. Load programs, select proper tooling, and adjust offsets to achieve consistent results across production runs. Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments. Monitor machine performance during CNC operations, making adjustments to maintain quality and prevent downtime. Perform routine maintenance, keep the work area clean, and follow all safety procedures. Document production data and report any tooling or material issues to supervisors promptly. Collaborate with team members and lead hands to meet schedules and resolve machining challenges. Qualifications We welcome candidates who bring a strong work ethic and a genuine interest in machining. The following will help you succeed: Experience operating CNC equipment, or completion of a machining or manufacturing training program. Ability to read blueprints, interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and work from detailed specifications. Familiarity with precision measuring tools and basic shop mathematics. Understanding of CNC programming concepts and the ability to make offset and tool changes with guidance. Strong attention to detail, dependability, and a commitment to quality and safety. Capacity to stand for extended periods, lift materials, and work comfortably in a production setting. Willingness to learn new processes and grow your expertise over time.
