Sr. Manager - Global Master Data (Commercial Operations)

Sr. Manager, Global Master Data Leica Biosystems, part of Danaher, is seeking a Sr. Manager of Global Master Data to lead cross‑functional data governance and strategy across customer, install base, and material domains. The role reports to the Director of Global Data Analytics & Master Data and is located in Deer Park, IL. Key Responsibilities Lead a global team of master data stewards and analysts, fostering accountability and innovation across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. Shape and execute the global master data strategy, establishing enterprise‑wide standards, policies, and lifecycle governance. Manage the creation and maintenance of customer master data across operational and strategic functions (quoting, order processing, fulfillment, installation, invoicing, post‑sale service, hierarchy, segmentation, analytics). Oversee governance of install base data, including equipment master lifecycle. Own the Commercial Bill of Materials and collaborate with manufacturing sites and business units to ensure accurate material/product data attributes. Define the direction for master data integration and architecture across ERP, CRM, e‑commerce, and emerging platforms. Establish data‑quality KPIs and lead continuous improvement programs to deliver measurable outcomes. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in master data management, data governance, or enterprise data strategy, with emphasis on commercial operations; or 10+ years leading enterprise initiatives that drove measurable revenue impact or operational efficiency. 7+ years of leadership experience in a global, cross‑functional environment. Proven experience with SAP ERP (preferably SAP S/4HANA), Salesforce CRM, and MDM platforms. Strong competency in process mapping and systems design, aligning tools and technology to business processes. Experience in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices, pharmaceuticals). Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and change‑management skills. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field. Preferred / Optional Experience Knowledge of data cataloging, metadata management, and lineage tracking; experience implementing enterprise MDM solutions. Certification or high proficiency in process‑optimization methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, DBS, etc.). Experience with data‑governance tools (Collibra, Alation, Informatica, SAP MDG). Travel & Physical Requirements 0–20 % travel, depending on initiatives and priorities. Compensation & Benefits The annual salary range for this role is $130,000 to $150,000. The position is also eligible for bonus or incentive pay.
