Quality Inspector
The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing Receiving, First Piece, and In-Process Inspections to ensure materials and products meet customer blueprint requirements. This role plays a key part in maintaining acceptable quality levels throughout the manufacturing process and ensuring compliance with established standards.
Job Requirements:
- Perform Receiving, 1st Piece and In-Process Inspections for work in process.
- Verify and document that materials are manufactured to customer-supplied blueprints
- Use precision measuring equipment (Micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.) to perform mechanical inspections of metal parts.
- Apply working knowledge of shop math, trigonometry, and Geometric Dimension and Tolerance (GD & T) in daily inspections.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation compliance with quality standards.
- Support adherence to ISO 9001 quality system requirements
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools and inspection techniques
- Strong understanding of shop math, trigonometry and GD&T.
- Prior experience in an ISO 9001 quality system environment preferred
- Computer literacy with working knowledge pf Microsoft Office
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
