Urgent Hiring: Experienced Expeditor (Expo) at Southern Kitchen Restaurant!

We are looking for a focused, dependable, and energetic  Expeditor (Expo) who can serve as the critical connection between our kitchen and front-of-house teams. Our Expeditor helps ensure every plate leaving the kitchen is accurate, complete, properly presented, and ready to provide the experience our guests expect.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the expo window and help coordinate the flow of food from the kitchen to the dining room
• Review orders and tickets to ensure accuracy before food leaves the kitchen
• Verify that guest modifications, special requests, and allergy notifications are properly addressed
• Inspect plates for proper presentation, portions, garnishes, sauces, sides, and overall quality
• Organize completed dishes by table and ensure entire orders are ready whenever possible
• Communicate clearly and confidently with cooks, servers, food runners, and managers throughout service
• Monitor ticket times and communicate delays or concerns before they become larger service issues
• Coordinate with Food Runners and Servers to ensure completed orders reach guests promptly
• Maintain an organized, clean, and properly stocked expo station
• Ensure necessary condiments, sauces, utensils, and accompaniments are included with orders
• Maintain composure, urgency, and attention to detail during high-volume service
• Follow all Southern Kitchen food safety, sanitation, and operational standards

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an  Expeditor, Expo, Line Cook, Food Runner, or similar restaurant position preferred
• Restaurant experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of restaurant service flow and ticket organization
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify errors quickly
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively between front-of-house and back-of-house teams
• Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple orders during high-volume service
• Dependable, organized, and team-oriented
• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
• Weekend, evening, and holiday availability preferred
