This position supports the high-visibility Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) organization, responsible for the delivery and security of MPO's Enterprise Information Technology (EIT), the foundation for enterprise-wide services. As a Senior Network Engineer/Architect, you will work alongside customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and vendors to support the implementation and compliance of advanced EIT capabilities through Data Center & Compute Services.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Lead Engineer maintaining datacenters containing multi-domain, cross-platform networks.Responsible for evaluating and designing an updated Hosted Desktop Infrastructure (HDI) solution for developer environments to meet new security restrictions.Install, Configure and support VMWare vCloud environmentDesign and implement storage solutions utilizing multiple NetApp clusters to replace current end of life storage systemsSet up and maintain Cisco UCS hardware for virtual environmentInstall, configure and support mobile cellular and wireless networks to include switches, routers, gateway or functional servers, to support requirements of the scope and scale consistent with campus or system wide networksImplement a Mac OSX virtual environment for development testingSetting up GUI based deployment server that provides administrators with the ability to select between Windows and Linux desktop installations from the same applicationMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with 12 years OR associate's degree with 15 years OR 20 years of relevant Network experienceIAM II certification (DoD 8140 required upon start of employment. Acceptable certifications include: CCNA-Security/CySA+/GICSP/GSEC/Security+ CE/CND/SSCP)Working knowledge of VMWare, NetApp, and Firewalls/SwitchesWorking knowledge of Linux, Windows and Mac OSXExperience with Bash, PowerShell, PowerCLI or API scripting languageFamiliar with STE/STN requirements to meet STIG/Security mandates and the utilization of Nessus Security Center.Preferred Qualifications:Provides advice & guidance to IT peers & subordinates regarding complex network design, monitoring, maintenance and implementationAbility to coordinate and integrate the efforts of other IT professional staffBased on program and technical requirements, can evaluate and recommend appropriate hardware, software and services solutions.Ability to investigate techniques and strategies utilized by other installations, especially higher education institutions, by participating in various professional organizations.Clearance Requirements:Must possess and maintain a current/active TS/SCI clearance with PolygraphPhysical Requirements :Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the timeOccasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Frequently communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, including delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situationsThe projected compensation range for this position is $141,500.00-$236,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
