Responsibilities Monitor and assess postpartum mothers and newborns for any complications Provide pain management and postpartum recovery care Educate mothers on newborn feeding, diapering, and sleep patterns Assist with breastfeeding support and lactation consulting Administer medications, IV therapy, and postpartum interventions as needed Recognize and address signs of postpartum depression or complications Collaborate with OB/GYNs, pediatricians, and lactation consultants Support skin-to-skin contact, bonding, and early parenting education Ensure proper documentation and patient education before discharge Qualifications Active RN license (state-specific or compact) Minimum 2 years of postpartum nursing experience BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required Strong maternal and newborn care skills Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced hospital setting Job Description Are you a dedicated Postpartum Registered Nurse (RN) seeking an exciting opportunity to expand your skills in Boston, Massachusetts?
