Always the right career direction.**## **Job Description Summary**Improves the quality of professional practice and the quality of patient care by educating patients and staff members.## **Job Description****Essential Functions*** Patient/staff education includes prioritizing urgent patient calls in response to STAT appointments and urgent post-operative problems.* Provide the ability for patients to be able to get questions answered quickly especially in urgent cases.* Coordinating surgical & procedural care to include preoperative surgical & procedural education as well as post-operative care.* Coordinate follow-up care for postoperative patients, which may include imaging, referrals to other specialists, and office visits with operating provider.* Follows the physician into patient rooms to document the encounter including the history, review of systems, and physical exam.* Updates the patient chart to reflect any changes or corrections to the past medical history, surgical history, social history, and medications as directed by the physician.* Displays radiology images or other studies for physicians to review.* Monitors all imaging studies and or testing to ensure they return in a timely manner.
