Department: School ABA - Behavioral Support Location: Burbank, CA Compensation: $24.00 - $28.00 / hour Job Overview Join Our Team as a Substitute School-Based Behavior Technician! Opportunities are available in Glendale, Pasadena, and Burbank. A Day in the Life Stay on‑call to cover partner school districts and ensure students never miss in‑classroom support. Support a range of students and schools as day‑to‑day needs arise. Apply Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in a school setting. Provide behavioral support in the classroom (elementary through high school), either generally or 1‑on‑1 with students. Analyze environmental factors that may inhibit a student’s access to the curriculum. Collaborate with teachers and other school professionals to customize interventions based on each student’s skills, needs, interests, developmental profile, preferences, and setting. Receive ongoing training and supervision from a BCBA or Masters‑level ABA Supervisor. Help students achieve their greatest possible academic, social, and emotional success in school. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent PLUS completed college courses (60 units) OR an Associate’s degree. 6+ months of ABA experience. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and active auto insurance. Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and professionalism to work effectively with students, teachers, and others in a school setting. Preferred Qualifications ABA experience in a classroom setting. Bachelor’s degree. CPR certification in both pediatrics and adults. Experience managing a wide variety of maladaptive behaviors, including non‑compliance, elopement, verbal and physical aggression, and self‑injurious behaviors.
