Procurement Agent II

Merit Medical seeks a Procurement Agent II to manage procurement for over 20% of production and assembly costs in South Jordan, Utah. The role involves sourcing materials, coordinating with suppliers, managing purchase orders through ERP systems, and supporting quality and engineering teams to meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Determine production requirements and dock dates through shortage reports and planner communication
• Process purchase orders with appropriate approval levels through ERP/MRP systems
• Expedite supplier deliveries and resolve material logistics issues
• Coordinate with quality assurance and engineering on non-conforming materials and corrective actions
• Evaluate supplier contracts, pricing, and service levels; negotiate rate increases and improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and professional experience
• Minimum two years of purchasing or procurement experience
• Knowledge of purchasing methods, procedures, and business mathematics
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, database, and ERP/MRP/EPO systems
• Strong vendor negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to review contracts and manage supplier relationships
