Job Title: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Surgical Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours (06:45 - 07:15) Experience: Minimum of 1 year in specialty License: Current surgical tech license Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA Must-Have: First-time travelers accepted Call required: One night per week and one weekend per month Local candidates not accepted (must reside 75+ miles from facility) Description: The position is for a Surgical Tech working 4x10 days from 06:00 to 16:30. Call is required one night per week and one weekend per month. Candidates must have BLS and NBSTSA certifications. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Local applicants will not be considered; candidates must live 75 miles or more from the facility. Responsibilities include assisting in surgical procedures, ensuring proper sterile techniques, and managing surgical instruments. Skills required include experience with abdominal surgeries, arthroscopy, laparoscopic procedures, and general OR duties. Demonstrated proficiency in aseptic technique and care of scopes and fiber optic equipment is essential. The candidate will work with diverse patient age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The average daily surgical case volume is 40 or more. The surgical services team provides care for a variety of specialties, including general, orthopedic, neuro, gynecologic, urology, and vascular surgeries.
