RN - Cardiology - IMC and General Care Unit

Work Schedule: 90% FTE, 8/12-hour evening/night shift primarily to be 7:00 pm - 7:30 am with a two in six weekend rotation. Holiday rotation required. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI. Pay: Additional components of compensation include impressive shift differentials - $4/hour evening, $5/hour night and $4.25/hour weekend differential as applicable for hours worked. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to: * Practice at University Hospital in Madison, ranked among the nation’s top heart hospitals, and be part of a high-performing cardiac team delivering exceptional outcomes. * Thrive in a fast-paced 23-bed cardiac/telemetry unit caring for intermediate and general cardiology patients, supported by central monitors throughout the unit and strong interdisciplinary collaboration. * Provide expert care for patients with coronary artery disease, heart failure, and dysrhythmias, including management of titratable vasoactive drips. * Partner closely with the Cardiac Cath Lab for pre- and post-procedure care, and collaborate with advanced heart failure teams managing pre-transplant and LVAD patients within a growing, innovative program. * Grow with us: beginning this summer, the unit will expand to include external pacemaker management and a broader cardiac surgical population, creating exciting new opportunities to build expertise with advanced cardiac technologies in a high-acuity setting. * Join a supportive, team-driven culture that values shared governance, quality improvement, and strong patient education where nurses help one another succeed and patients are active members of the care team. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred Work Experience * Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit. Required * Relevant RN Experience Preferred Licenses & Certifications * Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire Required

• Current CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
• ACLS within 6 months Required
• Relevant RN Experience Preferred
