As a School Social Worker, you will play a pivotal part in guiding 7th and 8th graders through their educational journey while working alongside a passionate school community.

Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough assessments, writing reports, and actively participating in IEP meetings to ensure every student receives the support they need. Collaboration lies at the heart of this position—you’ll join forces with teachers, administrators, fellow staff, and families to craft solutions and positive outcomes for students.

What you’ll bring:

• Valid Michigan Social Worker License (LLMSW, LMSW, or LCSW)
• Michigan School Social Worker certification
• Experience working with adolescents, preferably within a school setting
• Strong abilities in report writing and communication
• Knowledge of the special education process, including IEP development and implementation
• A talent for teamwork, problem-solving, and building rapport with students and families

What you’ll do:

• Manage a middle school caseload, providing direct services and interventions
• Develop individualized support plans and document student progress
• Attend and contribute to IEP meetings
• Write clear, actionable reports in support of students’ needs
• Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to champion student success
• Provide crisis intervention and connect students with additional resources as needed

This is a full-time contract opportunity available immediately through June 4th, 2027. The position offers hourly compensation ranging from $43 to $48, with eligible candidates also receiving healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
