Key Responsibilities of the RN - Telemetry

• Provide specialized care to mostly geriatric patients with cardiac, neuro, and general medical conditions such as CHF, chest pain obs, seizure obs, stroke obs, COPD, and more.
• Manage and titrate medications including Cardizem, amiodarone, heparin, Lasix, and insulin within set parameters.
• Perform skilled procedures such as NG tube placement/management, foley and chest tube management, and wound care.
• Conduct cardiac rhythm interpretation and execute central line/ports/midline blood draws.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Charge RNs, phlebotomy, and respiratory therapists.

Requirements of the RN - Telemetry

• RN License
• BLS and NIHSS certifications; ACLS is preferred
• Minimum 1 year of MedSurg/Telemetry experience
