You will take full ownership of software projects, guiding them from initial planning and architecture through to deployment and active operations. Key facts Location: Berlin + hybrid Engagement: Full-time What you'll do Manage the complete lifecycle of digital services in collaboration with federal ministries. Design and document system architectures while prioritizing security, data protection, and scalability. Break down complex requirements into manageable tasks and define project milestones. Mentor junior engineers and facilitate knowledge sharing through pair programming and code reviews. Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Requirements Proven experience in full-stack development and operating digital products. Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript or Java/Spring Boot. Experience with frontend frameworks such as React or Vue. Deep understanding of DevSecOps practices, including Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Infrastructure-as-Code. Professional proficiency in German (minimum B2) and English (minimum C1). Ability to work in cross-functional, agile teams alongside design and product experts. Nice to have Experience or interest in transitioning into Tech Lead, Expert, or People Lead roles. Skills & tools TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Spring Boot, React, Vue, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform. Practical notes Salary: 72,000 to 80,000 Euro annually for standard senior roles; 80,000 to 89,000 Euro for roles including Tech Lead or People Lead responsibilities.
