Schedule: Night Shift | 8:00 PM 8:00 AM

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our nocturnist team in Dothan, Alabama. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in providing overnight care to hospitalized adults, collaborating closely with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Perform 12-hour night shifts from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
Deliver comprehensive hospital-based care to adult patients.
Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop effective treatment plans.
Manage admissions, conduct daily rounds, and handle cross-coverage duties.
Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging results.
Adjust medications and treatments as required for patient care.
Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions overnight.
Work collaboratively with doctors and hospital leadership to enhance patient care quality.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation and communication regarding patient activities.

Qualifications

Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
Board certification is mandatory.
Preferred experience in inpatient, hospitalist, critical care, emergency medicine, or acute care settings.
Excellent clinical decision-making and communication skills.
Ability to work autonomously while effectively collaborating within a physician-led team.
