Director of Asset Management

Our client, a mission-driven affordable housing nonprofit, is seeking a Director of Asset Management to lead the financial, operational, and physical performance of its real estate portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Set long-term portfolio strategy, including hold/sell/refinance and mission-alignment decisions
- Lead recapitalization and refinancing strategy (RAD, HPD PLP, Tax Credit Re-syndication, FHA/Fannie/Freddie)
- Present portfolio performance and risk to Senior Leadership and the Board
- Serve as primary liaison to lenders, syndicators, and regulators (HUD, HPD, HDC)
- Partner with Development and Sustainability teams on stabilization, YR 15 LIHTC exits, and green initiatives
- Set portfolio-wide KPIs, NOI targets, and capital improvement priorities
Requirements:
- 8-10+ years in real estate asset management/development, including 3-5+ years in a senior leadership role
- Deep expertise in LIHTC (9%/4%), HUD programs, and complex multifamily finance
- Advanced financial modeling skills; strong Yardi/BI proficiency
- Bachelor's required; MBA/MRED or equivalent executive experience preferred
