Job Description In this role, you will work on exciting projects covering a wide range of domains including material handling, mining, chemical processing, manufacturing, supply chains, maritime and port operations, and healthcare. You will be joining a diverse team of passionate individuals that can support your growth as a simulation consultant. This position is located in Nashville, TN. Occasional travel to client locations or company-wide meetings will be required. Roles and Responsibilities Develop simulation models and conduct analysis to generate recommendations. Off the shelf tools may include: SIMIO, AnyLogic, Arena, FlexSim, Simul8, PlantSim, Demo3d Conduct and/or participate in simulation specification activities & documentation: Describe system behavior Clarify scope and drive the client to understand appropriate assumptions, input parameters, and outputs metrics Develop model architecture to reduce complexity and meet modeling objectives Design and develop decision support tools to aid in statistically valid decision making. This may range from using Excel, VBA, Python, Tableau. Assist or lead data transformation / ETL efforts to prepare data for model use; either for one time analysis questions or for on-going operational models. Required Skills / Characteristics A high degree of intellectual curiosity. A strong desire to help others, in particular a desire to help clients make their systems better. Experience constructing Discrete Event Simulation (DES), Agent Based Simulation (AB), Systems Dynamic Simulation (SD) or Monte Carlo models for the purpose of analyzing processes. For recent graduates, this may be coursework or senior design project work. Solid understanding of the science of Modeling and Simulation. Comprehension of statistics, data analytics and design of experiments. Strong leadership, communication, planning, time management, and risk management skills. Required Qualifications B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science or related field Proficient in M.S.
