Countryside Academy for Children is seeking a dependable, caring, and team-oriented Preschool Teacher Assistant to support a classroom of pre-kindergarten children. Working alongside one lead teacher, you will help foster a safe, nurturing, and educational environment while supporting the school-developed curriculum. This full-time position is based at 5807 18th Ave E, Bradenton, FL 34208, and offers mentoring from lead teachers plus paid training and workshops. Effective English communication is required; Spanish is preferred but not required.

 

Responsibilities

• Support classroom activities and the implementation of the school-developed curriculum.
• Supervise pre-kindergarten children and promote their safety and well-being.
• Monitor the classroom environment and apply school rules and behavior strategies.
• Provide individualized support to children as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with the lead teacher and school team.
• Communicate with families regarding children’s needs and progress.
• Follow state and school guidelines.

 

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work patiently and positively with young children.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to follow classroom rules, strategies, and school guidelines.
• Flexibility and dependability.
• Team-oriented approach to classroom support.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in early childhood education, teaching, or a childcare setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• First aid/CPR certification.
• Knowledge of early childhood education, child safety, and positive behavior support.
• English and Spanish communication skills.
