Provides compassionate age‑specific care to patients from neonates through geriatrics. Adheres to hospital safety standards, ALARA, Image Gently, Image Wisely, and all radiation and fluoroscopic safety standards. Consistently follows hospital and department guidelines for patient identification, safety, SOPs, policies, and protocols. Demonstrates successful patient/technical imaging skills by producing a variety of radiological procedures while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. Able to perform all applicable equipment Quality Control. Accurately records all requested database/log records. Displays a commitment to hospital Mission and Core Values. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with privacy laws (HIPAA) and facility policies. Maintains licensure and continuing education requirements. Effectively follows directions to maintain compliance with State and Federal agencies and DNV standards. Proficient at instructing students and new staff after 1 year of experience. Can work independently and uses administrative skills to complete correct billing codes in the RIS. Provides training, mentorships and preceptorships to current and new technologists and students within modality. Collaborates effectively with co‑workers and staff to ensure assignments are completed professionally. Participates in regulatory activities and contributes to the safe, efficient and successful operations of the department through effective communication. Communicates with ordering providers and/or radiologists to properly protocol patient studies. Ensures all equipment is functioning and can initiate service repair processes. Maintains self‑development and supports the learning environment of the hospital and department of radiology. Implements new and existing protocols and standards into daily workflow while maintaining patient care standards. Assists in preparing and maintaining all applicable equipment Quality Control, database records and/or logs. Performs other duties as assigned and complies with all policies and standards. Abides by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients. Education & Experience Qualifications Associate's Degree completion of an accredited 2‑year program in a school of Radiologic Technology with appropriate Certification (Required). 2+ years of experience as a Registered X‑ray technologist. Proficient at instructing students and new staff. Excellent knowledge of modality‑specific equipment, computers, PACS, EMR, and RIS. Ability to work independently. Excellent knowledge of imaging and exam protocols. Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems as they arise. Experience and ability to work in all areas of general radiology, including fluoroscopy and OR. Skills & Abilities Proficiency with equipment specific to the area, including C‑arms, portables, and computers. Clear knowledge of X‑ray equipment (digital/analog), image printers, computers, PACS, and radiology information system. Effective organizational, written and oral communication skills and excellent customer service skills. Ability to work in all areas of general radiology. Assist Team Lead, as needed. Licenses & Certifications Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT‑R) – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Required). Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT:R) – Ohio Department of Health (Required Upon Hire). Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required Upon Hire.
