Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Tallahassee, Florida This position involves providing compassionate, high-quality emergency care in a busy trauma center with over 50 beds and a high patient volume. The role is situated within a Level 2 Trauma facility that is also a designated Comprehensive Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center, requiring dedicated expertise in trauma and emergency settings.

Job Details

• Position Description: Shift of 11am-11pm, 12 hours per shift, totaling a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Compact or Florida nursing license, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) after 1 year of ER experience, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification after first 13-week contract, and prior experience in busy trauma centers or similar emergency departments with 2 or more years of clinical experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Trauma Care nurses (ATCN) and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) credentials preferred.
• Certifications Required: Candidates must pass the Advanced Dysrhythmia or EKG competency exam.
• Additional Information: Prior travel experience is required, with candidates ideally experienced in similar high-acuity, teaching hospital settings.
