Pet Food Experts is hiring CDL A Regional Dry Van Drivers in Cumberland, RI. Drivers will be delivering pet food & supplies to independent retailers. We offer competitive hourly pay, consistent year-round work, strong benefits, and schedules designed to keep drivers home when it matters.Compensation Guaranteed minimum weekly pay: $1,700 Pay based on miles and stops Additional pay: Overnight pay: $100 Per diem pay Bonuses: $5,000 Sign-on bonus $4,000 Driver referral bonus Safe-driving bonus of up to $3,200 per year Paid via direct deposit weeklyBenefits & Perks Great company benefits starting 1st of the month following hire date: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Company paid & supplemental life insurance Short term & long term disability insurance 401K with company match 6 Paid company holidays including 1 floating holiday Paid time off: Start accruing time on your first day, earn 16 days annually Available for use after 90 days of employment Paid training and paid orientation Tuition reimbursement Safety footwear reimbursement Employee discounts on pet food & suppliesHome Time, Route, & Schedule Home time: Home every weekend & home some nights during the week Schedule: Monday - Friday 1 overnight route per week where driver will be staying in an approved, paid hotel room Shift: Start times vary by route, generally between 2:00 - 8:00 am Route: Delivery area includes Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine Day routes average 6-12 stops, overnight routes average 15-22 stops Route mileage varies from approximately 150 to nearly 900 miles Level of Touch: Drivers will be unloading pet food & supplies using a lift gate & electric pallet jack or hand jackEquipment Freightliner & International day cabs & straight trucks All trucks have lift gate Automatic & manual transmission ELD equipped using Omnitracs system Outward & inward facing camerasQualifications Must be at least 21 years of age Must have CDL A license Must have a minimum of 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience Lift gate experience is a plus! Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. and get in/out of truck repeatedly No DUI/DWIs or drug/alcohol violations in last 5 years Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen & background check Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 40 miles of Cumberland, RI or be willing to relocate for this position Pet Food Experts is an equal opportunity employer.
