Job Overview Our site in Burnet, TX is seeking a ScientistII, Production Analytical Chemist to analyze and characterize materials that help design, produce, and optimize critical semiconductor devices. The role requires expertise in analytical chemistry and the ability to troubleshoot, develop, and optimize analytical methods for routine and non‑routine QC analysis. Responsibilities Demonstrate leadership in maintaining a safety and quality culture. Prepare and conduct chemical and/or physical analyses on samples using instruments such as ICP‑MS, ICP‑OES, GC, GC/MS, HPLC, IC, XRF, UV‑Vis, NIR, and KF. Document, process, transfer, and review analytical data to ensure completion, conformity, traceability, and validity; support production and internal/external customer needs. Take corrective action when necessary. Maintain instrumentation, tools, chemicals, and consumables required for product testing. Effectively troubleshoot instruments and resolve hardware/software issues. Verify sample efficacy and ensure proper storage or disposal of samples and chemicals. Propose/lead/support initiatives for continuous improvement of testing methods and practices. Maintain housekeeping and laboratory cleanliness to support high‑quality trace‑level data. Compile and present data and presentations to communicate findings for continuous improvement and method development/validation. Work on cross‑functional teams as the analytical subject‑matter expert. Train other personnel to analyze samples or perform other laboratory tasks. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biology, or a related area. Minimum 2 years of experience operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining analytical instrumentation (LC, LC‑MS, IC, IC‑MS, GC, GC‑MS, ICP‑MS, ICP‑OES). Experience with trace metals and cleanroom environments strongly preferred. Advanced computer skills, including MS Office; LIMS experience preferred. Knowledge of safe handling/disposal of chemicals and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. Proven record of completing lab work safely, correctly, efficiently, timely, and independently. Ability to multi‑task, balance independent and teamwork tasks, and meet deadlines. Strong dexterity, good eye‑hand coordination, and ability to perform routine repetitive motions safely. Advanced mechanical inclination and experience operating electrical and non‑electrical laboratory equipment. Four 10‑hour shifts per week (2pm–12am) on the second shift with rotating weekends; weekend availability required. Flexibility to accommodate changing shift assignments.
