Director of Supply Chain Planning (Houston)

In this senior leadership role, you will lead developing the supply chain strategy and its successful implementation for a high growth business. The leader should be both strategic and tactical in leading this function for the long-term growth.WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:Lead the SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) process:Ensuring alignment across demand, supply, finance, and commercial teams to support strategic decision-making and optimize business performance.Demand Planning:Gather and analyze data to support accurate demand forecasting.Drive customer satisfaction through improved service levels.Reduce inventory costs by aligning forecasts with actual demand.Enhance decision-making through data-driven insights.Supply Planning:Execute material requirements planning and production scheduling.Manage inventory to balance availability and cost efficiency.Optimize resource utilization and mitigate supply chain risks.Performance Reporting:Develop and present key performance indicators KPIs) related to demand and supply planning.Prepare and deliver reports to senior executives, highlighting KPIs, trends and actionable recommendations.Team & People Management:You will work in a professional, highly motivated, and passionate team of integrated supply chain professionals serving our customers around the globe.You will lead, mentor and develop a team of Demand Forecasting, Production Planning and Materials professionals and build strong teams that thrive in collaboration, teamwork and continuous improvement.YOU HAVE:Bachelor's degree in Operations, Materials, Business Management.15+ years experience leading teams with experience in production planning and materials management in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.Experience with supply chain management implementation.ASCM certification, preferred.Willingness to travel (<25%).WE HAVE:A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every daynVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
