Salary: $60,000 - $75,000

Job Summary:

Just Play is seeking an eager Associate Product Designer and Ideate to join its New Brands Team. This new team is focused on creating exciting new product opportunities across toy categories such as: plush, dolls, collectibles and more! This Idea Creator will use their understanding of the consumer, trends, and technology to then translate into a successful product(s). This involves creating and communicating toy concepts in 2D and/or 3D models to design and marketing management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability for ideation of outside the box new ideas, strong sketching and illustration skills, product design experience in dolls, plush, and play sets a plus, and of course a love for toys!

Principal Responsibilities:

• Actively generate new designs and ideas for New IP Brands at Just Play.
• Execute on Idea Generation and Product Designs.
• Design and develop New IP Brands.
• Work in a small collaborative team environment.
• Successfully present and communicate concepts to the design, marketing and management.
• Communicate and work with exterior resources like model makers, sculptors, and soft goods designers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 2+ years toy design or related product design experience.
• Experience across product categories like plush, dolls and play sets/accessories
• Adobe Creative Suite proficiency.
• Understanding of 3D CAD.
• Knowledge of material and manufacturing process for toy development.
• Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
• Knowledge of current trends.
• Understanding of features and play patterns in the toys.
• Able to work on several projects at once
• A blue-sky thinker who can problem solve the idea into reality.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Advanced collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
