Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance Supervisor - Ready to keep our operation running strong? Position Summary St. Louis Screw & Bolt is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead and coordinate maintenance activities within our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for developing and managing preventive maintenance schedules in accordance with equipment manufacturer requirements, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and actively assisting with machine and facility repairs to minimize downtime and support production goals. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, safety‑focused, and experienced with industrial manufacturing equipment, including cold headers, bolt makers, threading machines, and related support systems. Key Responsibilities Maintenance Planning & Scheduling Develop, implement, and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules in accordance with OEM (manufacturer) requirements for all production and support equipment. Track completed maintenance, upcoming service intervals, and equipment history to ensure compliance and reduce unplanned downtime. Coordinate maintenance activities with production scheduling to minimize operational disruption. Equipment Maintenance & Repair Assist directly in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues as they arise. Provide hands‑on support during emergency repairs, changeovers, and equipment failures. Ensure repairs are completed safely, correctly, and in a timely manner to restore production. Team Leadership & Oversight Supervise, guide, and support maintenance personnel and contractors as needed. Assign work, prioritize tasks, and ensure maintenance activities are performed efficiently and consistently. Provide training and guidance to maintenance staff on safe work practices and proper equipment care. Safety & Housekeeping Promote and enforce a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies and OSHA requirements. Ensure lockout/tagout, machine guarding, and safety procedures are properly followed. Identify and proactively correct unsafe conditions and practices. Documentation & Continuous Improvement Maintain accurate records for maintenance work orders, inspections, repairs, and parts usage. Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend long‑term corrective or improvement solutions. Work with Operations and Engineering to support equipment upgrades, reliability improvements, and capital projects.
