Housekeeping Manager

Key Responsibilities Coordinating staffing schedules to ensure proper cleaning of offices, public spaces, residents units, and grounds. Using cleaning chemicals safely and properly in accordance with department guidelines, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety standards, MSDS, OSHA, EPA and other relevant rules and regulations. Coordinating annual deep cleaning programs for residents units and common areas. Scheduling the preparation of units for admissions. Conducting regular inspections of all areas and maintaining inventory control systems for all supplies, chemicals, and equipment. Scheduling and conducting training sessions and department meetings for housekeeping personnel. Ability to hire own staff. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. 5 years of supervisory housekeeping/janitorial experience in a healthcare facility. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to successfully schedule and supervise staff. Flexibility with schedule. Must enjoy working with the senior population. Preferred: 3 years housekeeping experience.
