TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Anchorage, Alaska, 99508!

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP Must-Have: AK RN license in hand for auto offer Charge experience preferred or willingness to train Description: L&D RN position available. High risk labor and delivery unit. Must have the ability to manage multiple patients. Experience with antepartum care is essential. Nights will include managing OB Triage and deliveries. Weekly shifts require every other weekend availability. No on-call requirement for this position. Candidates may float to like units as needed. Time off requests must be included at the time of application. Position requires working two out of three major holidays. All candidates must have current certifications in hand. Strong skills in patient assessment and management are necessary. Experience in charge nursing is preferred. Active participation in discharge teaching is expected. Ability to assist with high-risk deliveries is required. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with electronic charting. Breastfeeding support and lactation assistance skills are a plus. Availability for continuing education modules is expected. Expectation to maintain a professional demeanor in high-stress situations. Annual average deliveries around seven patients, with potential for more. Every effort should be made to ensure patient safety and comfort. Candidates must uphold the highest standards of nursing practice.
