What You'll Do

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you'll work under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist to provide quality rehabilitation services.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide individualized physical therapy interventions according to established treatment plans
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and functional activities
• Apply appropriate treatment techniques under the direction of the Physical Therapist
• Monitor and communicate patient responses and progress
• Educate patients on exercises and treatment activities
• Document patient care accurately and on time
• Communicate effectively with Physical Therapists and other members of the care team
• Support a positive, patient-focused therapy environment
• Provide care to primarily outpatient orthopedic patients, with some swing-bed patients

What We're Looking ForRequired

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current Indiana PTA license or eligibility for Indiana licensure
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to patient-centered care

Preferred

• Outpatient orthopedic experience
• Experience with manual therapy or orthopedic rehabilitation
• Previous hospital or swing-bed experience
• Strong clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
