Job Summary:
This opportunity is for a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Tech position located in Cooperstown, New York. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role involves supporting the cardiac surgery team in a dedicated CVOR environment, primarily focusing on complex open heart procedures. The successful candidate will work a 12-hour shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

• Required Qualifications: Certifications, education, or degrees relevant to operating room technology, with experience supporting open heart surgeries and familiarity with standard CVOR equipment. Candidates must be able to scrub independently for open heart cases, assist with vein harvesting, and have experience with endoscopic (preferred) and open techniques. Experience in vascular, general surgery, and plastics service lines is critical.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with endoscopic techniques, vascular, general surgery, and plastics service lines; familiarity with cardiac instrumentation and sterile setup; strong adaptability to different surgical specialties.
• Float: Floating: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Due to lower cardiac volume, candidates must be well-rounded and able to support other service lines beyond CVOR. Equipment experience should include heart-lung (bypass) machine support and cell saver, with adaptability to different vendors and systems.
