Field Application Scientist, Data Science, QDI

Field Application Scientist role focused on demonstrating and implementing QIAGEN Digital Insights data science products to customers. The position involves technical presentations, customer training, workflow automation, and cross-functional collaboration to address scientific data analysis needs in commercial and academic settings.
Responsibilities
- Deliver scientific presentations and product demonstrations tailored to customer research applications
- Conduct customer training seminars and scientific workshops on case studies
- Engage in technical discussions with customers to identify challenges and map solutions
- Analyze customer and public data to support presentations and case study development
- Communicate customer product requirements to marketing and engineering teams for product development
Requirements
- Master's, PhD, or equivalent experience in data science, bioinformatics, biology, or related field
- Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking communication skills
- Ability to explain complex computational concepts to non-technical biologists
- Experience with Discovery KB, Knowledge Graphs, SQL, Python, or similar tools preferred
- Self-starter capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
- Willingness to travel 30-60% and work from home-based office near Boston or US location
Compensation: $100,000 - $137,000 base
