We have long been associated with many of the most significant advances in eye health, and we believe we are well positioned to continue leading the advancement of eye health in the future.Position SummaryReporting to Manufacturing Leadership, the Senior Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for leading manufacturing operations and teams to achieve production, quality, safety, and efficiency goals while driving operational excellence through Lean Daily Management. This role is responsible for implementing process improvements, executing change initiatives, and effectively managing labor resources to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. With a proven track record in lean methodologies and manufacturing leadership, the supervisor will foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability, ensuring the organization remains agile, responsive, and competitive in a dynamic production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules, quality standards, yield targets, and safety requirements are consistently achieved or exceeded.Lead, coach, and develop manufacturing teams of up to 25 employees, fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.Execute Lean Daily Management practices and apply lean manufacturing tools to eliminate waste, improve efficiency, and streamline operations.Analyze production data, performance metrics, and KPIs to identify trends, implement corrective actions, and drive operational improvements.Manage labor planning and resource allocation to ensure optimal staffing levels and efficient operational performance.Partner with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Human Resources, Facilities, Occupational Health, Security, and other stakeholders to support manufacturing objectives.Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, quality requirements, and manufacturing procedures.Communicate operational performance, challenges, and improvement initiatives to leadership while supporting business-critical decision-making.RequirementsBachelor's Degree (Technical or Business-related field preferred)5+ years of manufacturing experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.10+ years of experience leading teams, managing employee performance, training, payroll, staffing, and employee relations.Advanced knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, implementation, and practical application of tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Process Mapping, 6S, change management and Kaizen.Demonstrated success driving operational excellence, KPI oversight, productivity improvements, and workforce engagement initiatives.Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities, execute with urgency, and consistently meet business objectives and deadlines.This position may be available in the following location: Rochester, New YorkAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting pay for this role is between $90,000 and $120,000. The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors.U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives.
