Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Deaconess Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: IV fluid/antibiotic therapies, strong medical/post-surgical assessment, heparin gtts., wounds/wound vacs, basic tele.

Required Credentials: Associate’s Degree or Certificate

Unit/Facility Details: Patient Population: Combination of medical and surgical patients, no cardiac heavy. Confusion/BH/CIWA, CHF, COPD, UTI, cellulitis, sepsis, amputations, decubitis ulcers, general surgeries.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six-week schedule. Every other holiday.

Floating Requirements: First to float within skillset. Deaconess Midtown (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY – 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.

7 days maximum time off
