Senior Retirement Specialist

Senior Retirement Specialist – Nationwide® Support the city of Tampa and Hillsborough County by delivering retirement plan education, sales, and service to plan participants. Financial advisor experience is preferred. Key Responsibilities Schedules and conducts one‑on‑one and group seminars for potential and existing participants within an assigned territory. Assists the Program Director with territory planning, execution strategies, and team building/development activities. Provides counseling and guidance on defined contribution retirement savings plans to drive sales growth. Develops relationships with key entity contacts, especially at the department head level, to expand products and services within the plan. Supports the Program Director with training on new presentations, product information, and policy or process changes. Acts as a team lead for a group of Retirement Specialists, serving as point of contact for inquiries and troubleshooting problems. Leads special projects related to marketing, customer service, enrollment, and other administrative processes of the deferred compensation program. Collaborates with dedicated or regional home office teams to solve customer issues or implement actions that improve processes for the field. May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Reporting Relationships Reports to Retirement Services Program Director; no direct reports. Qualifications Undergraduate studies in business, marketing, insurance, or a related field. FINRA Series 6 license and either Series 63 and 65 or Series 7 and 66; Life and Health license required. Three years of related experience in financial, sales, or educational services functions. Strong knowledge of defined contribution retirement savings plans, 457 plans, annuity and investment products, and additional financial products/services. Excellent sales, communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills. Proven ability to manage a territory of clients and navigate political and economic landscapes to achieve business results. Leadership skills to guide and support a team of specialists. Problem–solving skills to address customer inquiries and improve processes.
