Job Description
Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly skilled Senior Kafka Engineerto design, build, and
support enterprise-scale event streaming platforms using Apache Kafka. The candidate will
play a key role in defining streaming architecture, ensuring platform reliability, driving best
practices, and enabling business-critical real-time data integrations across the
organization.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement scalable, fault-tolerant
event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.Lead the development of real-time data
pipelines and streaming applications.Administer and optimize Kafka clusters for high
availability, performance, and security.Define Kafka standards, governance practices, topic
management, retention policies, and monitoring strategies.Implement Kafka ecosystem
components including Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, Schema Registry, and Confluent
Platform services.Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and platform
upgrades.Collaborate with application, infrastructure, DevOps, cloud, and data engineering
teams.Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide root cause analysis.Drive
automation through Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices.Mentor junior engineers
and contribute to architectural decision-making.Ensure compliance with enterprise security
and data governance requirements.Required Technical SkillsApache Kafka5+ years of
hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.Strong understanding of:Brokers, Topics,
Partitions, ReplicationConsumer Groups and Offset ManagementKafka Producer &
Consumer APIsKafka ConnectKafka StreamsSchema RegistryKSQL/ksqlDBCluster
Monitoring and Performance TuningDevelopmentStrong programming skills in:JavaSpring
BootPython (preferred)Experience building microservices using event-driven

solutions.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information
Technology, or related field.8-12 years of IT experience.5+ years of Apache Kafka platform
engineering experience.Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise
applications.Preferred CertificationsConfluent Certified Developer for Apache
KafkaConfluent Certified Administrator for Apache KafkaAWS/Azure Cloud
