Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry

Location: Reno, NV

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 3x12, Nights, 1845 - 0715

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the telemetry department is responsible for providing optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. This role is focused on delivering high standards of nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, ensuring personalized outcomes over the entire episode of care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in a telemetry setting.
• Monitor patients with complex conditions including CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI's, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and post-procedure patients.
• Administer medications, including non-titratable cardiac medication drips.
• Coordinate care among healthcare professionals, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
• Float to Intensive Care Units and other medical-surgical units as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience.
• Nevada RN license required prior to start.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications are essential.
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam prior to contract confirmation.
