SMEs may instruct military officers, senior NCOs, Ministry of Defense officials, security officials, and executive-level international leaders. Counterterrorism policy, strategy, and operations. Interagency and multinational approaches to complex security challenges. Intelligence support to CT/IW operations. Strategic and operational campaigning. Skills Conducting threat and network analysis. Using historical and contemporary case studies. Translating tactical CT experience into policy and strategy implications. Teaching whole-of-government and multinational responses. Highly Desired Background SOF operational or planning experience. Counterterrorism or counterinsurgency experience. Intelligence Community background. Joint Staff, COCOM, TSOC, SOCOM, or interagency experience. Department of State, law enforcement, intelligence, or partner-capacity experience. Academic or policy expertise in terrorism, irregular warfare, or transnational threats.
