Job Description: Job Summary The Radiologist Assistant will assist the Radiologist by supporting diagnostic imagining procedures and providing excellent patient care. They will assist with performing radiologic exams, preparing and monitoring patients, documenting clinical information, and ensuring high-quality imaging results while maintaining radiation safety and healthcare compliance standards. Job Tasks Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide excellent patient care. Under the direct supervision and guidance of a radiologist, perform various diagnostic radiology procedures/exams. Administers and/or orders intravenous medication and contrast media, under the supervision of a Radiologist. Evaluates medical images, reviews preliminary reports and images with a supervising Radiologist. Dictates technical reports that will be reviewed and signed off by the supervising Radiologist. Verify and review referring clinician's order prior to performing exam and determine appropriateness of exam/procedure ordered. Reviews images and provides feedback of studies performed by the supervising radiologist. Responsible for gaining consents for procedures, pre/post procedure order-writing, and dictating in PACS. Must be proficient in performing arthrograms. Educational Requirement Bachelor’s Degree Graduation from an accredited RRA/RPA formal education program Registered as a Radiologist Assistant by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Licensed as a Radiologist Assistant in the State of Massachusetts Skills and Competencies Advanced knowledge of MRI imaging procedures Patient assessment and clinical history review Radiation safety and protection protocols Clear Understanding of Imaging modalities Image quality evaluation and optimization Excellent Communication skills and compassionate bedside manner Attention to detail and the ability to critically think Understanding of HIPPA and patient confidentiality Ability to work with a team and collaborate with Radiologists and technologists Additional Job Description: We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
