Shift & Schedule Day shift lead nurse RN/LPN – Monday to Friday 6:00 am – 2:00 pm No weekends Responsibilities Provide a high level of customer service to residents and team members by meeting the standards outlined in the MG CARES program. Support and promote the philosophy, goals, objectives, and programs of the community and Merrill Gardens. Mentor caregiving team members in areas of resident services. Maintain an attitude of respect and confidentiality toward residents, team members, and visitors. Help create and maintain a calm environment with warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis throughout the community. Assist with providing management reports as requested. Attend and provide in-service training as directed. Work within the parameters established by Merrill Gardens for resident care per community policy and state regulations. Provide medication services to residents as allowed by state regulations and resident service plans. Evaluate residents’ needs and abilities as outlined in each resident’s service plan. Document the results of services provided and evaluations in accordance with state requirements and community procedures. Communicate with families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals as appropriate. Provide direct care to residents according to their identified service needs within Merrill Gardens’ policies and state requirements. Be available by phone while on duty. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Current LPN/LVN or RN license in the state where the community operates. Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (preferably geriatric care). Physical Requirements This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and assisting with resident care. Regular bending, reaching, and physical movement are required throughout the workday. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
