Description: Unit consists of Radiology and CT staff, MRI Technologists, Nuclear Medicine Technologists, and Ultrasound Technologists. Imaging areas include MRI, XR, and CT, with Nuclear Medicine handling specialized scans and Ultrasound covering a wide range, excluding specific high-risk obstetric cases. Certification requirements include Radiology needing a CA license and R-credential, with preference for certified CT. Fluoroscopy license and BLS certification are also mandatory. Charting is performed using a Cerner system. Shifts available are 10-hour shifts for Radiology and CT, with weekend work required as needed. On-call requirements may be necessary during holidays. Radiology and CT staff operate 24/7 along with pharmacy support. A variety of imaging studies are performed, including all XR, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine scans, and Ultrasound (except specific exclusions). Cancellation policy allows for a limited number of shift cancellations during assignments. The facility operates at a trauma level of 3 in an acute care setting.
